Online Symposium Biochemistry – 8th June 2020
Have you always wondered how (biomedical) study books are written? Who makes the illustrations in these books? How complex biochemistry information is conveyed in a clear manner? How it is determined which knowledge is accepted enough to be put in a study book?
On Monday June 8th, 18:00-20:30h, the online symposium ‘Teaching Biochemistry’ will be organized. Here, Harvey Lodish, professor of Biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and lead author of the study book ‘Molecular Cell Biology’, and H. Adam Steinberg, illustrator of hundreds of research articles, reviews grant proposals and study books (among which ‘Biochemistry: a short course’ and ‘Molecular Cell Biology’) will be talking about the answers to these and many other questions.
The schedule of the evening is as follows:
5:55 pm: Students will enter the zoom call
6.00 pm: Welcome by Activity committee 2019-2020
6.05 pm: Speaker: Harvey Lodish
7.00 pm: Speaker: Adam Steinberg
8.00 pm: Closing remarks by Activity committee 2019-2020
